PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) and PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) marked a new chapter in the governance of national palm oil commodity marketing by establishing a strategic collaboration through an open tender-based e-bidding scheme , Wednesday (1/4).
Through e-bidding , the two state-owned enterprises (BUMN) are combining their strengths to provide a more transparent, competitive, and price-optimization-oriented marketing system.
The collaboration was realized through the utilization of the marketplace system and the KPBN tender network, which has long been known as a benchmark for commodity prices, particularly crude palm oil (CPO).
In this mechanism, prices are entirely determined by market dynamics, based on the principles of supply and demand , without any intervention from any party. “The established price is the best price on that day, because it is truly determined by open market mechanisms,” said Muhammad Zulham Rambe, SEVP of Operations at KPBN.
“We, KPBN, would like to express our gratitude for the trust that Agrinas Palma Nusantara has placed in KPBN,” Rambe added.
For Agrinas Palma Nusantara, this scheme is a strategic step to open broader market access while increasing product competitiveness. The e-bidding system allows potential buyers to participate in a transparent tender process, creating a fair opportunity for all market players. Furthermore, this mechanism also encourages the establishment of optimal selling prices, ultimately maximizing state revenue.
The initial implementation of this collaboration has yielded positive results. 6,000 tons of CPO were successfully marketed with a 100 percent acceptance rate. The high level of buyer participation and interest reflects the strong level of market trust in Agrinas Palma Nusantara. This also indicates that the system being developed is able to meet the needs for transparency and efficiency in commodity trading.
More than just a business transaction, the synergy between Agrinas Palma Nusantara and KPBN reflects the spirit of mutually beneficial collaboration between state-owned enterprises. KPBN acts not only as a marketing facilitator but also as a strategic partner, helping ensure the best pricing. Meanwhile, Agrinas Palma Nusantara gains access to a broader and more structured market ecosystem.
Going forward, both parties are optimistic that this collaboration will continue to grow and have a sustainable impact. With a system that adapts to global market dynamics, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) is expected to continue achieving optimal revenue, while KPBN strengthens its role as a credible and transparent commodity marketing platform.
Strategically, Agrinas Palma Nusantara serves as a pillar in supporting national food and energy security and providing economic benefits to the community.
